August Candelar page featuring Winicki’s image, Adrift, 2025
Meredith Winicki is a photographer and documentary filmmaker whose work is inspired by the places she encounters and the moments that define them. Through landscape and documentary photography, she uses composition, light, and timing to create images that invite viewers to pause, look closer, and experience the world through a different lens.
Winicki recently earned her B.F.A in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), with minors in Photography, Editing, and Producing. Her work has taken her to the South of France, Argentina, Iceland, and Ireland, where she photographed diverse landscapes and communities while contributing as an editor on documentary films featuring local artisans in southern France. These experiences strengthened her passion for travel photography and nonfiction filmmaking through cross-cultural storytelling.
Whether working with a still image or documentary film, Winicki strives to bring overlooked stories and perspectives to light. Through her work, she hopes to inspire curiosity, foster human connection, and encourage a deeper appreciation for the people, places, and traditions that shape our world.
Recent Projects:
Winicki edited her first feature-length documentary, Clothed, which was recently released on YouTube (https://l1nk.dev/wvcdgso). I also served as editor on a coming-of-age dramedy short film starring Catherine Curtin (https://listenlinda-shortfilm.my.canva.site/)!
