Candela Photographic Arts is delighted to introduce our pilot BINGO open call exhibition, which will be on view from October 1 – October 24, and will culminate in Bingo Day: a closing day bingo fundraiser during which each work on view will go to a new home with a photo lover!
Juried artists will send two editions to Candela: one, a donated* print, will be framed in a standard frame and be available to win for our first Bingo Day. The other unframed print will be lovingly shipped to another participating artist in the Bingo show through a randomized print swap.
*Prints on view will be treated as an “in kind” donation to Candela Photographic Arts.
Candela will provide a small, standard sized frame (and mat if needed) for prints on view in the Bingo exhibition. The framed works will go home with lucky winners on the exhibition’s closing Bingo Day.
ABOUT THE SUBMISSION
Submission opens: Thursday, August 20, 2026
Submission closes: Monday, August 24, 2026
Accepted works announced: Friday, August 28, 2026
THERE IS NO FEE TO SUBMIT TO THE 2026 BINGO SHOW.
Requirements:
Each submitted print must have at least two available editions for consideration (variant editions are accepted).
One print will be contributed to our small print bingo fundraising event*
One print will be entered into the Bingo Artist Print Swap.
Each submitted print must be no larger than 12 inches on its longest side
Each artist will be responsible for shipping their two prints to Candela by September 1, 2026.
*Prints on view will be treated as an “in kind” donation to Candela Photographic Arts.
Artists are welcome to share print editions from side quests, one-off projects, proofs, or works-in-progress in addition to current bodies of work. We are honored to include any works you consider contributing to help with this inaugural fundraising and print swap model.
Submissions should include:
1-3 jpegs for consideration
Artist name and contact information
Artwork title, year, medium, and dimensions
Artwork edition information
A short artist statement or bio relevant to submitted work

ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us on Bingo Day, Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 1-5pm. Doors will open at 12pm to peruse the exhibition, grab your glizz or fizz from the Tender Boys, or get your bingo visor adjusted.
Tickets for the event are first-come, first-serve and available for purchase in advance online. Limited seating to 50. A $45 ticket gets you 15 rounds of bingo (3 squares per round). Double your chances with double the bingo cards for $75. $5 a la carte bingo sheets will be available for purchase each round to up your ante and win your favorite prints. There will also be raffle opportunities and perks throughout the day for all hard working bingo players.
Bring your own snacks or partake in our <$10 concessions, including hot dogs, treats, and bubbly bevvies.
